A rich gamey/spicy nose intrigues the oenophile. Mid-palate we have the interplay of savory and fruity flavors that distinguish the varietal: black-berry, cherry, espresso, and bittersweet cocoa. The color is the deep purple of good extraction, and the weight on the palate makes it quite chewy . Hints of pepper and muted tannins on the back allow the wine to finish nicely. It would be a welcome guest at any Barbeque!
