About This Wine:
Our 2008 Estate Petit Verdot is 100% from our Rutherford
Estate Vineyard and is the fourth vintage in which
we have bottled this varietal as a stand-alone
wine. One of the 5 primary Bordeaux varietals, our
2008 Estate Petit Verdot is very dark and jammy, with
great extraction.. This wine has hints of spice, anise,
and floral violet overtones on the nose, with additional
opulent blackberry and raspberry flavors present on the
palate. The well balanced tannins are present throughout,
and lead to a long, lingering finish. The time spent
in French oak has served to soften the tannins while
yielding a wine that is both pleasant to drink now, but
will also age well for several years.
