Two-thousand six was the second year we used the grapes from our 10-acre parcel, "Peral Vineyard". Block 7 Clone 7, grown on 3309 rootstock, produced a big, bold, luscious fruit that led us into making our fifth Library Reserve wine. The grapes were hand harvested and hand sorted with loving care with only the finest grapes making it to our crusher. After 22 days on the skins, we gravity fed the wine to French oak from the Allier Forest. We aged 20 barrels from this lot for 10 addidtional months, for a total of 34 months on oak. You will find the wine complex and balanced with an encore finish. Although we consider all of our wines reserves, this 100% 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Library Reserve beautifully expresses the varietal, Napa Valley, and the Rutherford Appellation. With just 490 cases produced, we hope you enjoy this wine as much as we took pleasure in making it.
